About TINE Africa
TINE Africa Summit & Awards made its debut last year, where it recorded a brilliant reception from colleagues and was a resounding all-round success. As envisioned, this event created an avenue for professionals within the international education sector, including student counsellors, university representatives, directors of recruitment agencies, and other important stakeholders to build strong networks and engage with important topics within the sector.
With thousands of Africans travelling to other parts of the world annually to seek overseas education, stakeholders within the international education industry have become an integral part of the African development mandate. By supporting these young African leaders, changemakers, scholars and professionals in achieving their academic dreams, these professionals contribute to national development and global transformation through their invaluable contributions toward student mobility from Africa.
The InterNational Education (TINE) Africa Summit & Awards, therefore, brings stakeholders within the international education (a.k.a. study abroad) industry in sub-Saharan Africa together for knowledge sharing, professional networking, and the celebration of excellence. At TINE Africa, we are constantly engaging with cogent topics within the industry, and harnessing the wealth of knowledge that colleagues possess. Thereby illuminating the path for the international education industry in Africa and building a formidable ecosystem for these professionals.
In December 2023, TINE Africa Summit and Awards was a crucible of ideas, celebrating the resilience and ingenuity of overseas education professionals in Africa. With 1 keynote address, 2 workshops, 3 panel sessions, 12+ countries represented, 19 awards presented, over 300 professionals in attendance, 54,140 total vote count, and over 310,000 people reached, TINE Africa Summit & Awards 2023 was an event that set a new benchmark for excellence and collaboration within the industry.
Through various other initiatives, including the industry webinars, Instagram live sessions, monthly newsletters, and more, TINE Africa has positioned itself as a thought leader within the international education ecosystem in Africa - fostering collaboration, engagement, innovation, partnerships, and policy advocacy.
