The future of Africa’s international education ecosystem depends on the wit and willingness of key stakeholders to challenge the status quo, raise professional standards, and pioneer new strategies that move the industry forward.
As student aspirations evolve, global mobility patterns shift, and the demands on international education professionals grow, the industry must move beyond established practices to embrace new and more effective ways of working; with integrity, innovation, and collaboration.

Under the theme “Shaping the Future: Pioneering New Standards in Africa’s International Education Ecosystem,” TINE Africa Summit 2026 brings international education professionals from across Africa and beyond together to reshape the future trajectory of the ecosystem. At this event, university representatives, recruitment agency founders, school leaders, student counsellors, service providers, and other industry stakeholders will explore the ideas, practices, and partnerships that will define the next chapter of international education in Africa.
Through thought provoking conversations, research showcases and solution-driven discussions, participants will engage with emerging industry trends, discover new opportunities, and explore practical approaches to improving the industry. The summit creates space not only to examine where the industry stands today, but also to consider what must change, what can be done better, and how we can collectively establish higher standards for the future.
Beyond industry focused conversations, participants at TINE Africa Summit 2026 will also be exposed to unique opportunities for self-development, career future-proofing, professional pivoting, succession planning, investment, and general financial intelligence.
Join us at the TINE Africa Summit 2026 to be a part of this epoch-making event and let us together shape the future of international education in Africa.
Ultimately, pioneering new standards means moving from conversations to action, from individual efforts to meaningful collaboration, and from adapting to change to actively shaping it. The 2025 TINE Africa Summit was guided by the theme “Shifting Lenses: Recentering African Students’ Voices in International Education,” and focuses on the need to recognise students as active participants in shaping their educational journeys. This event highlighted the importance of moving beyond assumptions about African students to better understanding their aspirations, experiences, challenges, and ambitions.
The summit provided a platform for meaningful conversations on student representation, equity, and the shared responsibility of education stakeholders to build more responsive and inclusive international education pathways. Through sessions that cut across ‘re-centring Africa’, ‘nothing about us; without us’, and transnational education, the event called on institutions, recruitment professionals, and other industry stakeholders to intentionally African students. This ensures that their voices inform policies, practices, and partnerships within international education.
The 2024 TINE Africa Summit was guided by the theme "Building Together: Collaborating to Transform the International Education Ecosystem in Africa". This forward-looking theme acknowledged the necessity for collaborative problem-solving and innovative strategies to address the complex intersections of policy, technology, and socio-economic change impacting international education in Africa. The 2024 summit provided a platform for expert insights, networking, and collective action.
The theme of 2023’s summit was “Thinking Ahead: Envisioning the Future of International Education in Sub-Saharan Africa”. This theme was informed by the need to be forward-thinking with regard to the impact of the various policy changes on the student recruitment industry as well as the socio-politico-economic situation within the continent.
As leaders, it is very important to be proactive about the new ways of doing business in this very dynamic African market, especially in this era of aggregation, artificial intelligence, unstable economies, socio-political uncertainties, etc. These were the focus of conversations at the summit.
