The 2025 TINE Africa Summit is anchored on the theme “Shifting Lenses: Re-centering African Students’ Voices in International Education.” This year’s theme reflects a growing imperative to move beyond inclusion toward genuine representation for African students in shaping the global education landscape. It challenges stakeholders to rethink systems, partnerships, and narratives so that African students are not just beneficiaries of international education, but key contributors and co-creators of its future.
As educators, policymakers, and industry leaders, this is a moment to listen, learn, and act. From evolving mobility trends and affordability challenges to the impact of digital transformation and cross-border collaboration, the 2025 summit provides a space to confront barriers to access while amplifying the voices that matter most; the students themselves.
The 2025 TINE Africa Summit is more than a conversation, it’s a call to action to reimagine access, representation, and the future of international education through the lens of African students.

The theme of 2023’s summit was “Thinking Ahead: Envisioning the Future of International Education in Sub-Saharan Africa”. This theme was informed by the need to be forward-thinking with regard to the impact of the various policy changes on the student recruitment industry as well as the socio-politico-economic situation within the continent.
As leaders, it is very important to be proactive about the new ways of doing business in this very dynamic African market, especially in this era of aggregation, artificial intelligence, unstable economies, socio-political uncertainties, etc. These were the focus of conversations at the summit.
